Implantation bleeding prior to menstruation
It takes 4 weeks for a blastocyst (cell mass created by fertilized eggs) to implant in the endometrium (it is the lining uterus). This joining causes the mild bleeding which is usually around the time of menstruation and called implantation bleeding. Later on, this blastocyst develops into baby’s organs and complete body part.
Implantation bleeding is different from normal regular period bleeding by following ways:
i. Colour- the colour of blood varied from light pink to brown.
ii. Bleeding – the bleeding is generally seen as spotting.
iii. Pain – pain is mild no crumps will be observed generally, but in
some cases, severe pain is been observed.
iv. Duration: it only lasts for 3 to 4 days.
Missed menstruation period
This is very prominent sign that you are pregnant. You will miss your menstruation period 4 weeks after the conception. Once implantation is been performed your body will start releasing pregnancy hormone which is hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). This hormone is responsible for maintaining your pregnancy and it also makes sure you don’t get on your period for next 9 months.
Raised in Temperature
At the time of early pregnancy, your basal body temperature will be high. You will need to drink plenty of water at this time to keep your body healthy. It is also recommended that do exercise causally only.
Fatigue during early pregnancy
Blame the progesterone hormone for it. It is the very common symptom of early pregnancy. You will feel sleepy all the time. It is recommended to get enough sleep and keep your room cool as your body temperature is already high.
Change in Heart Rate
Around 56 days to 72 days your heart rate will be high and it will begin to pump blood harder and faster. It is very common in pregnancy but if you are underlying some heart problem do inform your doctor. Your expert will come up with some medicines which help you to survive.
Changes in the breast
Pregnancy brings changes to the breast of the mother. Your breast becomes swollen and tender. It is likely to happen that colour of your breast may also change. All this happens due to the hormonal changes in the body. The areola may become darker and grow larger to serve the baby at best.
Moodiness
In pregnancy, you become more emotional or reactive. This change in mood is the result of increasing level of estrogen and
progesterone. Pregnant women feel anxiety, depression, irritability (trust me it’s very easy to irritate pregnant women). Once she is laughing and in the next moment, you may find her crying. Mood swing is very common phenomena of pregnancy.
Frequent Urge to Urinate
During the pregnancy, the heart rate is increased which result in more blood flow to the body. This high flow of blood causes the kidney to process (or filter) more fluid than usual, which causes more fluid to be filled in your bladder. This is the principal reason which is responsible for your frequent visit to the bathroom.
Morning Sickness or Nausea
Nausea is very common in pregnancy. It is the result of the change in concentration of the hormone called estrogen. Increase in estrogen hormone causes the nausea sensation. Nausea can occur anytime in day or night. To keep yourself healthy drink plenty of water.
Enhancement of Smell Sensitivity
Yes, you will discover the supernatural power of smell. Many pregnant women had reported that their sensitivity towards the smell had increase magically in the first trimester. There is no scientific evidence supporting this statement. This is the reason to be believed to trigger nausea in pregnant women.
Heartburn during early pregnancy
Pregnancy hormones result in the valve between the oesophagus and stomach to relax which leads to the leakage of stomach acid and causes heartburn. In order to avoid this situation eat several small meals in a day and drink plenty of water.
Skin Changes during the Pregnancy
You may often hear the term pregnancy glow. Increased blood pressure push more blood to the skin which results in the skin glow and gives you glossy appearance, but it also causes oil glands to do over time which may result in acne problem.
